Gel-X is a soft gel extension system. Instead of sculpting each nail by hand, your technician fits a soft, pre-shaped gel tip over the whole natural nail and cures it under a lamp. The result is lightweight, flexible, and very smooth.
Both are gel. Gel nail extensions are sculpted from hard gel directly onto your nail, which gives your technician more control over the shape as it is built. Gel-X uses a pre-shaped full-cover tip, which makes the appointment faster and the finish feather-light.
It depends on what you want from the set. Acrylic is the strongest and most rigid, so it holds bold length and sculpted shapes best and stands up well to hard wear.
